Senior Analytics Engineer

The Role: We are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer with extensive experience in building analytical data models, ELT data pipelines, and data warehouses in a modern cloud environment. As an Analytics Engineer in a small, fast-paced team you will work with a variety of exciting projects developing and growing our data capabilities. Today we're focused on building and iterating on our core data models in order to enable and support predictive analytics. In this role you not only have a chance to directly shape the data but also be influential in what to do with the data to impact operations, product, finance, and sales. Responsibilities: Leverage cutting-edge tools and techniques to build out end-to-end data pipelines Build ELT flows using Fivetran and DBT to ingest, transform and load data from various sources into the data warehouse Design implement and maintain the dimensional data model of our data warehouse Optimize data warehouse performance and ensure data quality integrity Support machine learning predictive models by providing data engineering expertise and integrating them into production systems. Conceptualize models in ThoughtSpot that empower the business to answer critical questions Develop custom integrations with 3rd party APIs to deliver data Utilize previous knowledge and experience to iterate on current business processes and help shape new solutions Collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data engineering, data science and cloud technologies Skills: 4+ years of experience as a data analyst, data engineer, or analytics engineer Solid understanding of data warehouses, data pipelines, business intelligence tools, the modern data stack Firsthand experience designing and implementing dimensional models Expert SQL skills with modern databases (Postgres / Snowflake a plus) Experience with DBT, Python, or AWS is a plus Experience with BI tools to build automated reporting (ThoughtSpot a plus) Knowledge of data science principles and experience supporting machine learning models is a plus Qualities: Highly collaborative and open to feedback Naturally curious with an ability and desire to learn new tools to better solve new challenges Attention to detail with the knowledge and acumen to ask the right questions Clear and direct communication with regard to technical topics, delivered in an articulate manner tailored to the audience About Us: Torticity is a growing technology-enabled provider of outsourced services for the legal industry, focused on the large and growing mass tort sector.
