Senior Application Analyst

We are looking to hire a Sr. Application Analyst who will play a critical role in maintaining, upgrading, and optimizing our custom manufacturing applications, predominantly written in Visual Basic. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development within manufacturing environments, practical experience with Visual Basic, and knowledge of more advanced programming languages to assist in future code migrations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following

Maintain and enhance existing manufacturing applications, ensuring reliability, performance, and alignment with business needs.Work closely with various manufacturing departments to understand their software needs, providing direct support and developing custom solutions as required.Document requirements, demonstrating leadership and the ability to drive initiatives to completion.Collaborate with IT team members, IT vendors and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and effective solution delivery.Adhere to and promote existing IT processes and procedures, contributing to a disciplined yet flexible working environment.Create and follow procedures and documentation.Navigate, lead and ensure system testing process to provide high quality solutions.Participate in the assessment and planning for migrating legacy Visual Basic applications to more advanced programming platforms.Other duties may be assigned.

Ability to structure and coordinate offshore development.Strong problem-solving skills.Proven expertise in Visual Basic with practical experience developing and supporting applications.Familiarity with other programming languages and technologies for the purpose of migrating legacy systems to modern platforms.Experience working directly with manufacturing equipment and understanding the associated technological requirements is highly desirable.Experience with PLC communications is highly desirable.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interface directly with business units, understand their requirements, and translate them into effective software solutions.Demonstrated ability to complete complex projects, work as part of a team, and lead initiatives within a collaborative environment.Must be a team player, willing to work within established processes and contribute to the overall success of the IT team.Ability to work hybrid, with a minimum of three days per week on-site in White, Georgia.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelors Degree in IT, engineering or other relevant field of study along with seven to nine (7-9) years of Information Technology in a variety of roles within an IT Department.
