JOB SCOPE:The Director of Risk Management at TransformCo will manage a small team comprised of two (2) direct reports, focused on property and casualty insurance placement, collateral recovery, and risk mitigation.
JOB SUMMARY:The Director of Risk Management at TransformCo will oversee property and casualty insurance placement, collateral recovery, and perform essential financial tasks including forecasting and group P&L review. This role requires expert-level Excel skills and a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in risk management, focusing on insurance and financial analysis. The successful candidate will lead a team, engage with stakeholders, and contribute to the financial stability and risk mitigation efforts of the company.

Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Leads the placement and management of property and casualty insurance programs to protect the company's assets and minimize risk exposurePerforms in-depth risk analysis and assessments to identify potential risks affecting the company. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to manage identified risks effectivelyDevelops and implements strategies for the effective recovery of collateral, minimizing losses and enhancing the financial stability of the companyConducts financial forecasting related to risk management activities, providing insights and recommendations for strategic decision-makingParticipates in the group's P&L review process, analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvementLiaises with internal and external stakeholders, including insurance brokers, underwriters, and financial institutions, to negotiate terms and optimize coverageDevelops and maintains risk management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practicesLeads, mentors, and develops a team of risk management professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional developmentPerforms supervisory functions, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance appraisals and coaching and developing associates
JOB REQUIREMENTS:Bachelors DegreeOver 10 years of related experience18 years of age or older
REQUIRED SKILLS:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related fieldA minimum of seven (7) years of experience in risk management, with a focus on property and casualty insurance and collateral recoveryExpert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and provide actionable insightsStrong understanding of financial forecasting, budgeting, and group P&L review processesExcellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skillsProven ability to lead and develop a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environmentDetail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
