📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are currently seeking a talented Business Intelligence Developer to work in our New York office as part of a team responsible for developing internal applications that are highly visible and have a direct impact on corporate profitability. The team works closely with senior management to deliver solutions to various challenges across all business units. The candidate will create dashboards, reports, visualizations, algorithms, and tools to solve interesting business problems for users across the enterprise.
Responsibilities: Participate in business analysis activities to gather stakeholders’ reporting and dashboard requirementsManage and Develop Data Warehouse interfaces by gathering current business, technical, and reporting requirementsHands-on development of analytical systems mainly by building Alteryx workflows and Tableau applications for users, strategies and best practicesDevelop practical solutions that can be implemented and used to derive insight, improve decision-making, and streamline processes by automating reporting needs for teams all over the world.Design & implement reports, dashboards and visualizations using BI toolsMaintain documentation for design, development and reporting workShare best practices and successes across the lines of businesses and geographiesOptimize reporting dashboards with a focus on usability, performance, flexibility, testability, and standardizationEnhance reporting schemas and data martsCollaborate with various teams throughout the company to integrate and sync data from different systems by building Alteryx workflows that are published and scheduled on Alteryx Gallery and provide support and technical assistance for implemented reporting tools
About You:As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you are a:Creative thinker – You are curious and unafraid to ask questionsHard worker – You are industrious and diligent in everything you doInnovator – You are willing to initiate changes and introduce new ideasYour experience includes:3 to 5 years of development experience using Tableau or similar self-service BI productExperience in creating interactive dashboards with actions, parameter controls, and filtersExperience in analytics and reporting lifecycleKnowledge of SQLKnowledge of AlteryxKnowledge of Knime (we will be transitioning in the next 2 years)Background in preparing data for analysis, KPI definition, and reportingProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Strong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication & presentation skills\Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a similar degree
