Job Description
About the Role
The HR Specialist role at the Dixon location is directly responsible for supporting the HR function guiding the day-to-day success of the facility. You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:
Enforcing all company policies and plant rules, to include conducting investigations, maintaining corrective action procedures, and ensuring accurate administration of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and grievance procedures. Managing the full cycle recruiting and onboarding efforts for hourly roles. Managing the payroll process and attendance tracking for hourly employees. Partnering closely with the HR Manager and management team to support functional priorities and reporting out Key Performance Indicators for the HR function. Demonstrating tact and diplomacy and maintaining discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive employee issues and data.
Important Details: This is a full-time on-site role supporting plant human resources needs predominantly on 1st shift with schedule flexing between all shifts occasionally required.
About You
You’ll fit right in if you have:
Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting a Human Resources function Strong knowledge of and experience in HR Information Systems such as Workday and Dimensions Strong communication skills at all levels of management Strong organizational and time management skills Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (especially food manufacturing) or working in a union environment is a plus
