Senior Project Manager

As a full-service construction management firm working in all 50 states, Tri-North’s specialized in-house services span all phases of the construction process. As a Senior Project Manager at Tri-North you will have the opportunity to run some of our most challenging and complex projects, in addition to being primarily responsible for developing client relationships. As you grow in your role, you will become the primary point of contact for designated client relationships, making you responsible for overall communication with the client, including regular check-ins, as well as oversight of staff working client projects.

The ideal candidate for this role must have a demonstrated understanding of constructability with an ability to run projects profitably and to the clients’ satisfaction, while maintaining effective communication both internally and externally. In the construction industry, there is no room for error when it comes to safety, finance, and quality craftsmanship. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of how to manage costs on a project and how decisions made effect the bottom line.

The candidate we’re looking for will have the ability to lead by example, work well under pressure, is adaptable to multiple work environments, juggles multiple complex projects at a time, and nurtures strong client relationships while executing Tri-North’s core principles.

Responsibilities Include

Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completionReview the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costsOversee all onsite/offsite construction to monitor compliance with building and safety regulationsCoordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractorsNurture existing client relationships to emphasize customer retention while working to build relationships with new clientsManage labor productivity in order to maximize profitability, when applicableNegotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts, and obtain permits and licensesSelect tools, materials and equipment; track inventoryMeet contractual conditions of performanceReview the work progress on daily basisPrepare internal/external reports relating to job statusPlan ahead to prevent issues and resolve any emergingNegotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits/licensesAnalyze, manage, mitigate risksEnsure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques

Requirements

Proven experience as lead PM on a variety of projects of different scopes and sizesBS degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related field is preferredDemonstrated ability to manage all financial aspects of projectsAnalytical skills to comprehend complex details of a project to fit the scope of workProblem solving skills to understand the root cause of issues as they arise to ensure successful outcomesEffective communication on and off the jobsitePrecise attention to detailResponse time fanatic
