Junior Supplier Quality Engineer
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Our client, a rapidly growing leader in the Aerospace industry, is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their busy team. The Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for qualifying and managing suppliers and will also be tasked with performing audits, CAPA reviews, scorecards and FAI review /approvals. They will be instrumental in solving any supplier quality issues that may arise and must have had proven success performing preventative and corrective actions. The SQE will implement tools and processes to ensure suppliers improve on current products with robust plans and deliver first time quality products to global customers. Additionally the Supplier Quality Engineer will act as a liaison and handle all customer complaints while seeking ways to improve standards. They will also manage all onboarding and internal/external supplier audits as well as also facilitate Supplier Monthly Performance. To be successful in the role, candidates must have 2+ years of working with suppliers in a regulated environment. Essential Functions and Skills and Requirements • Collaborate with QE and FAI Team on FAI process and Perform Supplier Survey and Audits• Flexibility to work non-standard hours or alternate shifts to support work in North America & Asia• Experience with Minitab, SPC, APQP• Proven abilities with supplier management, process improvement and product quality• Six Sigma and ASQ Certifications preferred
