Onsite General Foreman

Company is seeking an experienced Onsite General Foreman. In this position, you will have a crucial role in overseeing and managing field installation project operations at our various batch and continuous lumber drying kilns, and wood waste heat plants around the Southeast/North Carolina/Mississippi/Georgia United States. The objectives of this position include supervising and coordinating installation activities related to the kiln sites, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining high-quality standards. This role requires a willingness to travel extensively to various job sites, along with the physical ability to navigate different environments and lift equipment, as needed. The Onsite General Foreman will contribute significantly to the successful installation by ensuring efficient operations, maintain safety standards, and promoting a positive working environment.This is a full-time position and will report directly to the Field Superintendent and will travel to our various kiln sites.

Qualifications

Ability to travel 100% of the time.Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.High School Diploma or equivalent required.2 years of specific experience and/or training related to the essential functions of the job; or equivalent combination of education and training.Experience with industrial installation and leadership.Ability to work in hot environments both indoors and out.Experience in the wood or lumber industry is considered a plus.Mechanical fabrication and welding experience is preferred.Hoisting and rigging experience is preferred.

Job Duties

Supervise and coordinate installation activities related to lumber drying kilns.Responsible for leading a team of employees and overseeing workflow.Communicate with the Field Superintendent and internal project team for the entirety of the installation process to address any site issues.Efficiently ensure adherence to safety protocols, and high-quality standards are being accomplished.Lead and train team members in the installation process specifically, schedule work assignments, monitor equipment functionality, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.Support the Field Superintendent when they are off-site, assuming their responsibilities and ensure seamless project continuity during their absence.

Requirements

Must be proficient using all construction hand tools, torches, welding machines, and measuring devices.Must be able to demonstrate creativity and initiative in attacking and solving problems.Strong leadership skills.High School Diploma or equivalent required.Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
