Description
Position Purpose
At Saint Mary’s Hospital, Obrien 4 is a med surgical unit that provides care to patients with various medical, general, and orthopedic surgical or stroke/trauma related illness or injuries. This unit is a dynamic 27-bed unit specializing in the Ortho-Neuro population. All rooms are equipped with cardiac monitoring equipment and remote access to Avasure technology. A dedicated and specialized team of RNs, LPNs, and PCAs working together with the hospitalists and specialty providers. The unit also has access to virtual RNs who assist in the management of numerous workflows including, the admission process, discharge information, and education about medication and treatments.
What You Will Do
In this critical role you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, play an active part in unit shared decision making, and enjoy practice autonomy using nurse driven protocols.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited LPN program.Licensure: Current Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Connecticut.Certification: Active BLS
Preferred Skills
Experience: Acute care, Medical-Surgical experience preferred.
Work Schedule
Part time – 24 hours – Days 7am - 7pm
