📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
The company is a Florida based, privately held development firm. They are a highly diversified real estate development and investment firm that has invested in projects with expected value in excess of $35 billion. The company is among the most experienced real estate developers and investors in the Southeast, having executed investments across major asset classes and all stages of the development cycle. They focus primarily on high-rise condo's, multifamily, and hotel development.
Due to growth, they are looking to hire a Design Manager
The responsibilities of the position include
and manage the due diligence team (i.e. survey, geotech, environmental).and manage the various design teams for test fits and density studies to match with Development requirements.Management – Oversee the design team, along with various Owner engaged sub consultants, from Concept Design to Contract Documents.and manage the pursuit milestone schedule and budgets (includes design, permitting, and preconstruction).in Pre-development and Pre-construction activities and meetings as required by the VP Construction. Including:in the Hard Cost budgeting and review process.in the GMP Agreement phase…clarification and VE review.with the GMP contract documentation, and any specific or related Lender requirements needed for closing.the Development and Construction Teams during the construction phase of the project as items may arise.
Qualifications include:4- years degree (degree in Architecture would be a plus)knowledge of real estate development principles/practices required.of 3 years’ experience in multi-family or mixed-usedealing with subcontracts, subcontractors and/or self-perform work is a plus.Project Management experience on projects in ground-up multifamily projects
