Job Summary:The Director of Finance is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the financial management and reporting functions. The Director of Finance plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's sustainability and growth by maintaining financial health and transparency.

Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the organization's mission and goals.Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with program managers and department heads.Monitor and analyze budget variances, providing recommendations for adjustments as needed.Prepare financial forecasts and projections to support organizational planning.Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.Present financial information to the Board of Directors and other relevant committees.Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.Manage financial aspects of grants and contracts, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance.Collaborate with program teams to ensure financial accountability for grant-funded initiatives.Monitor cash flow and liquidity, making recommendations to ensure the organization's financial stability.Coordinate the annual external audit process, liaising with auditors and ensuring timely completion.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and reporting requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements:Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred.Proven experience in financial management, preferably within the non-profit sector.
