Assoc Golf Professional

The Assistant Golf Professional will assist in the daily golf operations, including providing exceptional customer service to guests, managing merchandise, and operating POS system to complete transactions. They will also oversee the Golf Shop and Outside Service Attendants to ensure a smooth and effective process is offered to our guests.

This is a full-time seasonal position starting no later than May 1st and ending October 1st. Compensation will be $20-$24 per hour with additional income from lessons.

At Homestead Golf Club, challenge and beauty converge on our par 71 course, stretching over 6,669 yards from the championship tees and a welcoming 4,778 yards from the forward tees. With diverse terrains and four sets of tees per hole, golfers of all levels can explore their passion and polish their play. Open seasonally, our club provides the perfect setting for improvement, featuring a putting green, chipping area, and driving range tailored to enhance your game. Homestead Golf Club will close in October of 2024 to start a major renovation project of the golf course and clubhouse. Planned reopening will be Spring of 2026

CORE RESPOSNSIBILITIES

Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pro shop, practice areas, and golf carts. Operate golf cart fleet efficiently and safely, ensuring adherence to course policies and procedures. Schedule tee time reservations and manage changes to schedule. Ability to work full-time schedule throughout the summer. Support the management of golf events, tournaments, and leagues, including organization, set, scoring, and coordination of logistics. Provide support to the Golf Operations Manager and other staff members as needed to ensure smooth operations of the facility.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Ability to work in a team. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of golf tournament operations and event management. Understanding of Microsoft Office products. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively and professionally with members, guests, and colleagues. Proficiency in golf instruction techniques and equipment fitting.

EDUCATION/FORMAL TRAINING

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in a golf facility or related industry
