📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
TRS Staffing is seeking a Cost Analyst for a Chemicals client in the Texas City area. This is a permanent opportunity with full benefits. The Cost Analyst will hold accountability for variable cost reporting in actuals, budget and forecast to ensure the accounts are correct, variances are explained clearly and concisely to the Asset and Management teams in a timely and accurate manner adhering to the client’s policies.DUTIESthe variable cost contracts to ensure that the costs incurred are as per contract/term sheets.review and analyze the variable production costs including utilities and raw materials, to enable operations personnel to monitor plant performance and take corrective action where necessary through review of price, volume, and efficiency analysis.cash forecasting information for weekly and monthly cash flow reporting.balance sheet assurance and reconciliations on quarterly/monthly basis.with Operations and Procurement to understand variances between actual, budget and forecast and communicate findings to the different functions, ensuring any issues are resolved timely and pricing is current.financial analysis, advice, ideas and direction to product teams, proactively contributing to cost control and improving the plants’ performance.duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS degree in Accounting & Finance with 3-5 years relevant experience.technical accounting knowledge and strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and GAAPusing SAP is preferredaccounting experience in the manufacturing or any other relevant industry is preferred
