IT Procurement Specialist/Entry Level Programmer

This is a full-time position that is responsible for the purchasing and procurement of IT equipment for the True companies. This position develops and manages approved technology equipment lists by analyzing users’ needs and using hardware and software knowledge to develop the best solution. In addition, this position will be responsible for entry level programming within the department. ResponsibilitiesManage daily IT hardware/software requests and issue Purchase Orders as needed.Follow up on each order to ensure all items are received in a timely manner.Obtain quotes, compare pricing, and negotiate with vendors to secure competitive rates.Inform management of Purchase Order issuance and provide updates on order status.Develop and cultivate relationships with key technology vendors, adhering to required sourcing policies and procedures.Maintain and manage existing vendor partnerships to ensure products and services are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively.Support ad-hoc reporting needs as requested by management.Collaborate with Senior Programmers to plan for coding and overall program development.Research solutions to coding and performance issues, contributing to the enhancement of existing systems.Regularly update project managers on progress and provide time estimations for completion.Translate design documents into a program language, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.Perform testing and modify any existing or potential issues to ensure optimal program performance.

QualificationsA high school diploma or equivalent education and zero (0) to two (2) years of job-related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.Knowledge of purchasing technology products and services.Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Experience with C# is a plus.Understanding of basic database programs.English language fluency, verbal and written.Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.
