Under the direction of the Lead OB/GYN physician, the Certified Nurse Midwife manages the medical care of patients throughout the maternity cycle, including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum, in both inpatient and outpatient settings and for gynecologic care in the outpatient setting. This includes providing standard obstetric care and counseling for pregnant women and basic primary care for women of all ages, following ambulatory care and inpatient standardized policies, procedures, and protocols regulated by the State of California Nurse Practice Act and TrueCare.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:Graduate of a Midwifery Program accredited by the American Midwifery Certification Board. Computer proficiency, particularly with Electronic Health/Medical Record systems and the Microsoft Office Suite

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:Two years of experience in full scope nurse midwifery practiceBilingual in English and Spanish

Licenses:Current California Registered Nurse LicenseCurrent and unrestricted California Nurse Midwife LicenseBoard of Registered Nurses Certification Furnishing Number issued by California Board of Registered Nursing.Current and unrestricted Controlled Substances Registration Certificate from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)Valid California Driver's License, proof of auto liability insurance and clean driving record.

Certifications:Current certification as a Nurse Midwife through the American Midwifery Certification BoardCurrent BLS Certification for Healthcare ProvidersBasic ultrasound skills for limited third trimester ultrasound / AFI's fetal presentation and viability- with documented training for same
