Our client is a Fortune 1000 company who is looking to add an Accounting Supervisor to their growing accounting team! This is a great opportunity for somebody in public accounting who is looking to shift into an industry role. Reporting to a Director of Accounting, this Supervisor will have support but be given the opportunity to grow in their career and manage a team.

ResponsibilitiesLead and review general accounting activities, including preparing financial statements and reports and general ledger reconciliationsManage a team of 5 employees, including Staff Accountants. Delegate tasks, provide coaching and training for employee development and evaluate performance.Ensure physical fixed-assets are stated on the general ledger, including physical counts and reconciliationsPerform asset depreciation and settlement analysis for fixed assets Point of contact for internal and external audit, communicate cross-functionally with other teams
QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related degreeCPA required5+ years of accounting experience1+ year of people management experience, including delegating tasks, coaching, training and mentoringStrong understanding of GAAPBig Four public accounting experience highly preferredDynamic and adaptable, curious minded, self-starter
Company is SOX compliant and utilizes SAP. This position can be fully remote or hybrid, but candidate must be Illinois based.
