Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to oversee the operations of a luxury residential resort with a private membership club and residential component.

As the General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of all aspects of the property, including member satisfaction, staff management, financial performance, and overall maintenance and upkeep. You will be responsible for the successful member service delivery for the property and will be an active part of the local community. You will provide leadership and management for all personnel, assuring cohesion between all of the different departments within the organization. The General Manager will lead the operations team to assure a five-star service is always provided to members and private club members, aligned with the organization’s internal standards.

As the General Manager, attention to detail and style are very important. You will be responsible for ongoing service as well as outlet and production innovation. Creating strategies to continuously enhance the member experience and operational procedures within the property. Assuring that a top-quality of service is always executed, and that service and branding are positioned accurately within the market. Working closely with our Board of Directors and Special Projects Committee, spearheading the vision of the property.

Our Ideal Candidate will have:Luxury Residential General Management experience with 300-plus unitsA sense of business development and have a strong revenue and finance management backgroundA dynamic operational leadership style with a passion for hospitalityAn entrepreneurial, innovative, and creative mindsetThe ability to manage and bring all departments together to work as one in order to execute the operational objectives of the businessExperience managing special projects and overseeing renovations while operating the assetAn extensive experience managing a multi-outlet property with beach operations, pool operations, multiple F&B outlets, spa, wellness programming, security, and recreation The ability to foster positive relationships with residents, ensuring that their needs are met and concerns are addressed promptly and effectivelyExperience implementing programs and initiatives to enhance member satisfaction and retentionComfort acting as the primary point of contact for member inquiries and concernsExperience developing Human Resources recruitment strategies and employee engagement strategies to ensure all departments are fully staffed and well trained.Experience setting performance expectations and providing ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure high-quality service deliveryConfidence in overseeing Finance and working with them to develop and manage the property's annual budget, ensuring adherence to financial goals and targetsThe ability to monitor expenses and revenue streams, identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement. Comfort in reviewing prepared financial reports and forecastsThe ability to place Key Performance Indicators on all management and hold them accountableThe knowledge to oversee the Engineering Team and ensure all maintenance and repair activities are up to date and up to code to ensure the property is well-maintained and in optimal condition. The communication standards needed to coordinate with vendors and contractors for necessary repairs and renovations. The knowledge to conduct regular property inspections, identify maintenance needs, and address any safety or compliance issuesStrong knowledge of physical plan managementKnowledge to ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and building codes and regulationsThe ability to respond promptly to emergency situations and coordinate emergency preparedness drills and trainingExperience in developing and implementing community engagement initiatives and events in order to foster a sense of community among residents. Comfort to serve as a representative of the property within the local community and participate in relevant industry associations and events

Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Hospitality Management (preferred)Proven experience in a luxury residential managementStrong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approachSolid understanding of financial management principles and experience in budgeting and financial reportingKnowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in asset management and real estate managementFlexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
