📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Our client is a fast-growing technology consulting solutions provider that develops custom solutions and provides software development for enterprise level clients to enhance business performance.
About the RoleOur client’s leadership team is looking for a Technical Director to join their team in their San Jose office. In this individual role, the successful candidate will make a big impact at our client’s enterprise customers in the field of cloud. As a cloud solution architect, the Technical Director is able to dissect a customer’s real business question and translate that into a tangible cloud solution in a short cycle. The Technical Director works closely with our client’s Managing Consultants and acts at C-level at our customers.
How you will impact the business:Identifying cloud technological and organizational trends in the market and their potential business value.Develop and implement technical strategies and solutions that align with client objectives and business goals.Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from initial planning to implementation and support.Collaborate with clients to understand their technical requirements and provide recommendations for optimal solutions (large programs or small initiatives).Ability to dissect the real customer challenge into understandable words.Examining existing projects bottom up, identifying improvements, and automating manual processes, without losing sight of the bigger picture.Building and maintaining relations with our customers.Lead and manage project teams of technical professionals, including developers, engineers, and architects.Inspiring our cloud community of junior, medior and senior cloud engineers/consultants.Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.Foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning within the technical team.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
QualificationsMaster’s degree in computer science, AI, electrical engineering or alike.Experience with consultancy (at an enterprise or within another consultancy company).Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, and related concepts (such as cloud cost control).5+ years of hands-on experience building cloud environments, using pipelines, microservices, deployment templates and automation. Experience in cost control measurements and set-up.5+ years of hands-on experience building data-intensive applications or cloud data lakes.3+ years of experience in activities such as pre-sales, solution architecting, shaping solutions.Excellent communication skills, ability to explain complex technological concepts and solutions effectively (simply and clearly) to both management and operational levels.Knowledge in one or multiple of the following IT areas: Connectivity, Identity and Access Management, Security, Cost Control, Governance.
Anticipated compensation $160k-$190k.
