Accountant Description

Our client is looking for a Staff Accountant to add to their team in Cleveland, OH. Reporting to the Controller, you will be responsible for the company’s accounting functions, General Ledger entries, internal audits and process improvement, and month-end closing. To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of three years of accounting experience, Strong AP and AR background, and excellent written and verbal communication. Accountant Responsibilities

• Maintain the accuracy of General Ledger and report back to leadership• Utilize accounting software and update internal CRM• Partner with leaders to complete all A/R and A/P functions• Audit internal processes and suggest improvements• Process Invoices and Payments promptly• Manage all claims and vendor invoicing• Process month-end close and year-end activities• Participate in tax functions with oversight• Support the finance team in analyzing AP and AR data• Manage daily operations that fall under the accounting department

Accountant Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required• 3+ years of Accounting experience required• 3+ years of AP and AR experience required• Experience with any Accounting software required
