This position starts at $22.80/hr. with a shift increase for second and third shift and potential for overtime. We have positions for first shift.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for learning how to maintain sharp tools to perform their job task correctly. Responsible for making precision cuts to carcass that allows for correct further processing to achieve desired carcass yield. Responsible for making precision cuts to carcass to remove hide only to achieve desired carcass yield. Responsible for operating a powered tool to perform job task. Average training time may require 2-3 months.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Set up equipment in preparation for startup, and responsible for operating stacker, while also being able to adhere to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies. Responsible for setting up stacker and operating machine within Tyson Foods specifications. Maintain operation of machine during production. Perform necessary maintenance on equipment according to Standardized Work. Ability to recognize product that may not meet standards. Preform daily paperwork.

REQUIREMENTS

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Ability to become certified in Tyson Foods Lock Out Tag Out Program. Responsible for good housekeeping practices and the facility sanitation goals are met. All other duties as assigned. All Team Members are responsible for upholding principles of SQF 2000. Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, ability to work independently, and must be results oriented and good problem-solving techniques. May occasionally be required to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.Must be willing and able to work on and around machinery and chemicals.Must be willing and able to perform the following task for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting. Must be willing and able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature for minimum of 8 hours.

Must have at least 3 months previous work experience with a single employer within the last 18 months.
