Our Interpreter will be working Primarily 1st Shift, Monday-Friday 9:30 AM-6:00 PM, however flexibility is needed as translation may be needed on 2nd & 3rd shifts. Will facilitate effective communication between two parties that do not speak the same language by converting one spoken language to another. Interpreting services include but are not limited to Employment, Training & Orientation, Meetings, Human Resources, Health Services and other operational activities as assigned. Our Interpreter is held to a strict code of confidentiality & must be willing to work in all environments of the facility.

Requirements

High school degree or equivalent is preferred but not required. Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a fast-paced admin role.Applicants must be fluent in Marshallese and English. (Helpful to notate this on the application or Resume to ensure proper review/consideration)Candidate must pass a verbal and written exam.Skilled in accurate interpretation of conversations and documents.Must be able to communicate and translate effectively both verbal and written format from English and or vice versa.Must have strong verbal communication skills in their dominant language and the English language. Must agree to sign a confidentiality agreement. Confidentiality is a requirement due to high volume of sensitive material.Must reside in the US to be considered, this role does not offer sponsorshipResume will be required with the submitted application.

Special Skills

Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision, while at the same time be a member of team to coordinate and provide support as needed. Must be able to demonstrate strong organizational, decision making, and follow-up skills. Basic computer and typing skills preferred. The Interpreter is expected to use dictionaries and glossaries for reference in order to communicate a clear and concise message. Must carry a valid driver's license.
