Job Description

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department, to maintain a safe work environment, produce quality product, and obtain production KPIs. This position will also monitor all equipment to ensure it is working properly. notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance, communicate with team members, and serve as a role model for Tyson policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Read production schedule, assist in pre-op as needed, assist operators set up equipment. Notify maintenance if equipment is not operational. Complete pre-start safety checklist. Set equipment controls and line speeds according to standards. Maintain product flow in an organized manner.Follow product specifications and assist in process control checks and quality checks as required. Train team members to adhere to quality procedures.Assist supervisor in work assignments to optimize labor utilization.Check inventories and communicate any issues to supervisor. Maintain good housekeeping in assigned areas.Provide break relief to team members as necessary.Assist AHT and Supervisor train team members according to Standard Work Instructions as needed. Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Able to stand and/or walk for duration of the shift, and lift, bend, push, pull as necessary. Able to read and understand product specifications, production schedules, recipes, safety procedures, and SAP reports. Able to use computers and enter data into prescribed applications.Able to perform basic arithmetic using a calculator and understand data trends.Flexible to learn and work all production positions as necessary. Must be willing to become licensed to operate a pallet jack and forklift.Must have effective verbal and written communication skills to work with team members and management.Able to work without direct supervision.
