Position Involves
NATURE & SCOPE: The essential job function of the Utility is to assist in line start-up, remove trash and relieve when necessary.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in line set up prior to start-up, stocks line with packaging materials such as bags, boxes, strapping, tape, clips, etc., fills in for line worker as necessary.Packs and palletizes cases of cooked food products, labels boxes as needed, notifies supervisor and or operation specialist if machinery not operating properly.Keeps work area clean and observes Tyson/USDA safety and sanitation rules.Utilizes proper lifting techniques to avoid injury to themselves and others, wears appropriate personal protective equipment.Operates pallet jack and performs other duties as required or assigned, monitor and control key product control points such as weight, size, temperature, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS
Requires ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.Perform routine repetitive tasks, read weights and scales, sufficient mathematical ability to perform mathematical calculations, plot data and make statistically based decisions.3 months work history with the same employer.6 months of machine operator experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Physical abilities to vertically move product weighing 5 lbs. constantly, 20 lbs. occasionally, exerting forces of 10 lbs. frequently, exert grip forces of 17 lbs. frequently lifting 50 to 75 pounds, occasionally lift 100 pounds.Walk up to 4 miles during the shift, and work in extremes of temperature and be certified to operate a pallet jack.
