Duties
Joining the Customs and Border Protection Office of Field Operations will allow you to use your expertise in visual design and presentation. This position starts at a salary of $102,163.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $132,807.00 (GS-12, Step 10). In this Visual Information Specialist position, you will become a key team member of Homeland Security professionals creating websites and promotional material for recruiting purposes. Typical work assignments include: Advising and consulting with the port managers, and field office staff on developing and implementing integrated communications/media policies and programs Collaborating with a regional communications team to develop written content Developing new methods of conveying messages regarding CBP initiatives, policies, and procedures by employing state-of-the-art visual information technologies Performing research to locate images suitable for inclusion in various visual products.
