Machine Operator-2nd Shift

Description

The Machining Technician will be responsible for machine quality, and productivity as well as maintaining all equipment. The Machining Technician will also be responsible for training all new operators on machine procedures and checking part quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities of this job are included but not limited to this job description – other tasks may be assigned and expected to be performed.Ability to utilize machine interface and understand basic processes to diagnose including pneumatic and electronic issuesKnowledge of automated machinery and general millwork related to machiningAbility to identify possible improvements in cycle times and processes to improve efficienciesInteracts with Maintenance and Engineering to resolve downtime interruptionsInvolved in Continual Improvement Activities and Kaizens to improve performance of the equipmentHave good mechanical knowledge related to all aspects of the tensioner operationMaintain Tensioner Machining Equipment example: Tooling Adjustment, Presetting, and PM etc.Ability to troubleshoot machine issuesMaintain Quality of the PartsAbility to Check Parts So Parts Meet SpecificationAbility to read and train others on small quality testing equipment example: Calipers, Mics, Microscope, etc.Ability to read and train others to read part prints.

Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent.Five or more years Machining experience preferred. Any type of education related to electronics, engineering, maintenance and robotics is a plus.Basic Microsoft Office. Knowledge of machine interface devices is a plus.5s experienceBasic problem solving or troubleshooting skillsAbility to work with a team.
