Manager, Business Process

In Finance, we work hand-in-hand with leaders across the company to ensure smooth, disciplined execution of strategic business objectives. Our Accounting team builds scalable, controlled processes and products for Global Accounting, Treasury, and FinTech that enable our business to operate efficiently. This position is a hybrid role (in office 50% of the time) and you must be located in or willing to relocate to Dallas or San Francisco.

About The Role

As the Manager of Business Process, you will oversee the payment processes to support our operations teams globally. You will be responsible for enhancing and automating payment processes, improving efficiency, and reducing errors. Your expertise will be crucial in evolving our payment infrastructure to support our growth and customer satisfaction objectives.

What You'll Do

Lead the design and implementation of innovative payment processes in collaboration with product and engineering teams. Develop strategies for process improvement, focusing on automation and the effective use of technology. Manage cross-functional projects to optimize payment operations and integrate new payment technologies. Analyze current payment processes to identify inefficiencies and potential areas for cost savings and speed enhancements. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and maintain high standards for data security. Provide leadership and guidance to a team, setting clear goals and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to maintain competitive edge and compliance.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field 5+ years of progressive experience in business process management, with a focus on designing and optimizing internal payment processes within a dynamic tech environment

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree or relevant certifications (CPA, CISA) are a plus Proven experience in working closely with product and engineering teams, and in implementing automated solutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of improving payment processes. Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of working effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional environment. Deep understanding of payment systems, operational risk management, and compliance requirements. Database Structure Understanding: Advanced knowledge of database structures and principles, with the ability to effectively manage and manipulate data within various database systems. Experience in designing and optimizing databases preferred. Proficiency in JIRA: Skilled in using JIRA for project management, with a solid understanding of its features for tracking and managing tasks across multiple projects. Experience in setting up workflows and custom configurations in JIRA is highly desirable. SQL Proficiency: Strong proficiency in SQL, with experience in writing complex queries, optimizing performance, and managing large datasets. Understanding of stored procedures, triggers, and database functions is a plus. Data Visualization Skills: Experience in data visualization and the ability to present complex data in a clear and impactful manner using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar. A knack for transforming raw data into actionable insights through compelling visual storytelling is ideal.

For Dallas, TX-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$114,000 per year - USD$127,000 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$127,000 per year - USD$141,000 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
