Description
UCFS is looking for candidates who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others! UCFS is currently seeking a part-time (19 hours) Medical Receptionist for our Colchester Health Center to provide courteous and professional customer service to all UCFS clients, patients, and visitors, as well as internal customer support for clinical staff. This position requires availability to float between Health Centers in Norwich and Griswold.
Schedule will be Monday through Thursday 2:15pm-7:00pm.
Essential Responsibilities
Greet clients and visitors in a welcoming and friendly mannerAnswer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional mannerSchedule and confirm appointments for patientsMaintain electronic medical records and patient filesVerify insurance information and collect patient co-paysPerform basic clerical duties such as filing, faxing, scanning, and emailing

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent1 to 3 years of related experiencePrior experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting preferredStrong computer skills and knowledge of electronic medical recordsAbility to handle confidential information with discretionExcellent customer service skillsAbility to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environmentAll employees at UCFS are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19
