Description
We are currently seeking a Referral Coordinator to join our team. The Referral Coordinator will work closely with healthcare providers to ensure that patients receive the necessary referrals for medical services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing referrals from initial intake to completion, and communicating with patients and providers throughout the process.
Manage the referral process from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and accuracyCommunicate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary information for referralsMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of referrals and patient informationProvide excellent customer service to patients, addressing any questions or concerns they may haveCollaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patientsParticipate in quality improvement initiatives to improve the referral processMonitor referral trends and identify opportunities for process improvement

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field preferredMedical Assistant Certification3+ years of experience in healthcare or customer service requiredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsProficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systemsKnowledge of medical terminology and insurance policies preferredAll employees at UCFS are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19
