Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Integration Developer with a minimum of 8 years of experience in Java development. This role will involve designing, developing, and operating integration solutions for both public and on-premise cloud environments. The successful candidate will work closely with internal technical teams to design, prototype, and maintain complex applications in compliance with ERCOT operating procedures and SDLC guidelines.

Responsibilities

Develop and operate platform components in Public and Private cloud environments.Perform system integration and performance monitoring.Continuously automate processes during development and operations.Develop prototypes to prove out designs and delivery patterns.Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams including Development, Operations, Compliance, Security, etc.Provide mentorship and technical guidance to transition work to other ERCOT development teams.

Convey team goals effectively through strong written and verbal communication skills.Execute end-to-end testing for various non-functional requirements.Resolve design and development issues in creative and effective ways.Research, evaluate, and incorporate new technology and tools to enhance product development and platform operations.Give advice and recommendations to management based on experience.Expand technical proficiency in key technical areas.

Experience

Minimum 8 years related work experience in excess of degree requirements.

Desired Skills

Experience building CI/CD pipelines and writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for both private and public cloud deployments.Experience developing production-ready applications and microservices in Java using Spring Framework and Spring Boot.Experience delivering Software Integration solutions.Experience collaborating and coordinating with multiple departments, developers, stakeholders, partners, and external vendors.Proficiency with Oracle PL/SQL.Experience delivering cloud-ready solutions using modern delivery practices with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Ansible.Strong communication skills and experience mentoring other developers.Experience with Apache ActiveMQ, Apache Camel, Apache Kafka, and API Gateway products.Preferred experience in software development and deployment using TIBCO BusinessWorks 6.x or BusinessWorks Container Edition.Preferred experience with a variety of messaging protocols like SOAP, REST/JSON, OpenAPI, gRPC, and GraphQL.Preferred experience working with Azure messaging solutions like API Management, Logic Apps, Service Bus, and Event Hub.

Education
