Job Summary
Applies organizational policies and procedures to oversee a variety of ongoing administrative operational demands Analyzes and resolves operational problems of moderate scope The Admin Officer will work with the Unit Director and Assistant Unit Director and to provide general administrative support for the department. Designs and administers a streamlined and robust operational program

Department Description
The Emergency Department at UCSF Medical Center provides care to patients with urgent medical conditions ranging from complex problems such as heart attacks and strokes to simple but pressing conditions such as cuts and broken bones. Care is provided 24 hours a day, serving more than 40,000 patients a year.
Our team includes board-certified emergency medicine specialists, nurses trained in emergency and critical care and other specialists who are called upon as needed in areas such as gynecology, neurology, obstetrics, orthopedics, pediatrics and surgery.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training. 1-3 years of related experience Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns. Solid communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff verbally and in writing. Working knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs like Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, Powerpoint Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes. Working knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs including MyExpense, Connexus, MyReports, Peoplesoft, PeopleConnect, BearBuy, Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality. This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
Preferred Qualifications
2 years work experience in a related field Knowledge of Emergency Departments Knowledge of key UCSF software such as listed above
