The Regional Production Engineering Intern will function as an internal consultant with regard to CI principles, the implementation of productivity increases, capital project installation, safety and ergonomic improvements, through process design, layout and machinery specifications.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
Develops a comprehensive knowledge of Company products and procedures through on-the-job training activitiesLearns how to operate the Company’s business system in order to perform required administrative functionsDevelops working knowledge of Continuous Improvement, efficiency standards, and safetyAssists in sales, customer service, and production activities as assignedWill have a summer project given at the beginning of the internship and will be presented at the end of the summerPerforms other duties as required
Qualifications
Working knowledge in the use of a computer and business-related software, including Microsoft applications (Excel, Word and Outlook)Working knowledge of various office equipment (computer, scanner, etc.)Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing and speakingAbility to successfully interact with all organizational levels and the publicDemonstrated proficiency to manage multiple tasks, to set priorities, and to meet deadlines.Demonstrate proficiency in general telephone and office etiquette and legible handwritingAbility to comprehend and follow written and oral working instructions.Proficiency in the use of business math
