Sr Backend Engineer
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are seeking a Backend Engineer for our client a series A startup based out of New York and Open to Remote. Founding Backend Engineer will join a startup leveraging zero knowledge(ZK) proofs to scale blockchain applications in a new way, backed by the best investors in crypto.
Role and Responsibilities:Implementing and optimizing query pipelines which transform blockchain data to fulfill queries.Strong engineering design skills, the ability to work across the stack, and a security mindset.Ability to make pragmatic technology choices which empower our clients small team without adding too much overhead.
Qualifications:3+ years of experience working on VMs, databases, or similar low-level systems.Fluent in Rust, C++, or a similarly performant backend language.Experience deploying production applications in the cloud using orchestration and containerization (Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes).Experience working with production applications hosted on AWS.Detail oriented and have a security mindset.Worked on challenging software projects and have an eye for performance.
Nice to have:You have experience with VMs, programming languages, or databasesYou have experience with low-level details of Ethereum
Salary Range:$150k - $250k + Equity (flexible based on seniority.)
Visa sponsorship AvailableCan sponsor TN, H1B transfer, and green card after 6mo. Cannot do new H1B (unless it is after employment on OPT)
On-site or Remote work policyOur Clients office is in NYC and working in person in NY is our strong preference, but we're open to remote as well.
This is a full time, W-2 role
