Necessary qualifications and skills: High School Diploma or equivalent required for MA; certified or registered Medical Assistant from an accredited institution preferred (RMA/CMA). Minimum of tow (2) years medical office experience preferred in a clinical setting.
Summary: Responsible for coordinating and compliance with regard to associate health issues, immunizations, TB skin tests and fit testing. Implements policy and procedures. Flexible work hours required. Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally. Works in well lighted area. Participates in associate orientation. Secures medical history. Maintains confidential associate health records. Promotes, instructs, and screens for wellness programs.
Job Duties and Descriptions
Maintains records of immunization and education.Participates in bioterrorism preparedness.Dedicated to providing patient service and/or care of the highest quality.Reviews essential functions of job prior to orientation.Performs drug screens for employment, random and for cause testing. Always maintains patient confidentiality. Assists other Infection Control staff with projects as assigned. Demonstrates priority setting and time management skills.Exhibits dependability and reliability in work attendance.
