UnityPoint Clinic is actively recruiting for a Hospitalist to join our team in Des Moines, IA.

• 0 Nocturnist works 17 shifts every six weeks; flexibilty in how many shifts are worked concurrentlyShifts are 7p-7a Most shifts worked at Iowa Methodist and Iowa Lutheran Hospitals with occasional shifts at Methodist WestCohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical, who know the patients and the communityFully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination

Responsibilities

Telehospitalist service provides cross coverageEvaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient carePatient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environmentExcellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

MD or DOBoard Eligible or Board Certified in Internal MedicineAbility to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of IowaHold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practiceEligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
