What You'll Do

Review and analyze monthly freight costs to ensure the general ledger is accurate and that appropriate accruals are recordedPrepare monthly and quarterly balance sheet account reconciliationsPrepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for management, including variance analysis and explanationsAssist management in preparing schedules and providing support for quarterly and annual internal and external audit requestsDevelop, implement, and maintain financial systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines and compliance with the requirements of Sarbanes-OxleyProvide accounting assistance to project managers and operations staff; respond to financial questions and/or concerns to meet business needs. Assist with periodic freight/transportation projectsPerform various month-end close accounting duties related to private fleet, common carrier, dedicated carrier and rail

What You'll Need:

Bachelor's degree in accountingKnowledgeable of US GAAP Two or more years of accounting experienceStrong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail Strong interpersonal skillsStrong verbal and written skills Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and meet deadlinesFlexibility to work, take ownership, and succeed in a rapidly changing environmentMicrosoft Office with strong skills in Excel such as pivot tables and advanced formulasProficiency with SAP is preferred
