Position Description

The Manager, Student Financial Aid will manage the day-to-day operations of scholarship awarding and processing for the Student Financial Aid Office. Serve as primary contact for Athletics and KHEAA for scholarship awarding. Manage processes in accordance with all applicable federal, state, private, and institutional regulations, policies, and/or guidelines. Communicate with the campus community and provide subject matter expertise within the office, provide training and conduct presentations that empower colleagues to use scholarship processes to assist students. Maintain a knowledge of key institutional policies and federal and state financial aid regulations, adhere to standards that ensure quality, efficiency, compliance, and service related to the responsibilities of the team and the office. Counsel students, parents and other pertinent parties regarding application and eligibility requirements for federal, state, private and institutional aid.

    

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Provide supervision and direction to the Scholarship Awarding Team. Serve as a primary program and operations manager for aid program coordination. Represent the Scholarship Team across the university, at the request of the SFAO Director and Associate Director(s). Administer SFAO-managed institutional aid programs, including, but not limited to, management of applications, awarding, disbursement, communications, account monitoring, and problem resolution according to federal, state, and/or institutional guidelines. Collaborate with the Office of Admissions and coordinate awarding, disbursement, communication, problem resolution, and financial account monitoring for the university's admission-based scholarship programs. Train university departments, team/office members, student employees, and others as it relates to the administration, management, and compliance associated with the aid programs and activities for which the position and team are responsible.

Compensation Will Be Commensurate To Candidate Experience.
