BASIC PURPOSE

The Clerk, Will Call will support all will call operations by meeting customer expectations and deadlines through pick-ups and courier service. The Clerk, Will Call will achieve high internal and external customer satisfaction by showing excellent customer service.

Monday- Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm

Main Ingredients of the Job

As a US FOODS® Will Call Clerk you will be assisting the warehouse, sales team, customers, and vendors with order placements for pick up or delivery. Perform back up activities throughout warehouse supporting all aspects of shipping and receiving. Activities include data entry of shipping and receiving information, preparation and distribution related reports, or file/records.

Process Will Call orders from warehouse with accuracy and support with customer service Schedule receiving appointments with vendors for all inbound freight of warehouse Prepare and update delivery appointment sheet daily for shipping and receiving Responsible for accurate data entry with shipping and receiving information Prepare in-bound documents, preparation and distribution related reports, or file/record maintenance Assign receiving doors for inbound carrier for warehouse Enter in all Purchase Orders and verify all PO’s have been cleared by end of day Manage discrepancy report Schedule all backhauls by coordinating with the Buying department; prepare weekly backhaul report File out of stock and damage claims within warehouse

What You Bring To The Table

Education/Training

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Related Experience/Requirements:  

Preferred 3 years’ experience with warehouse & delivery procedures.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Communicate clearly both in writing and verbally Telephone skills, math skills, and organizational skills Basic computer skills, and good analytical skills Resolve routine problems of limited scope
