📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Under the direction and control of a Licensed Physical Therapist the Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant may assist the Physical Therapist in performing selected components of physical therapy intervention to include treatment measurement and data collection.
Implements established therapy treatment plans and provides therapy interventions under the direction of a licensed therapist.Documents patient care according to professional standards and departmental guidelines.Actively participates in quality improvementprogram development and professional growth activities.In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Position Compensation Range: $24.24 - $38.78 Hourly
Minimum Requirements
Education: ��Associate’s Degree.
Experience: No experience required.
Licensure: Licensed to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant within the Commonwealth of Virginia and/or certification with the appropriate credentialing Board of the profession. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires frequently bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 – 100lbs. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
