📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
UW Credit Union’s Applications’ team is hiring a Support Engineer (internally known as an IT Coordinator) to support daily IT operations.
As the Support Engineer you are the first line of defense for IT core banking support throughout the organization. You are the coordinator for external vendor core applications, systems developed by IT, and data transfer programs between UW Credit Union and external vendors.
This is a great IT entry-level position for someone who has technical exposure and is confident in their ability to critically evaluate information and make connections between business and technology. A day in the life of a Support Engineer
Every day will be different but below is a snapshot of what you will do
Start the day off assessing and planning your daily IT core support and operation tasks.Work with business units, IT teammates and vendors to resolve system issues, address ad-hoc requests and identify system enhancementsCollaborate with the IT Coordinator II to develop and enhance processes and proceduresExpand relationships and network with vendors to influence system improvements and solutions that may be beneficial to the credit unionCoordinate technical changes with IT development staff and vendorsServe as a resource and coordinator to Programmers, Project Services and Business Unit staffSupport software installations, maintenance, and configuration
