📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
- **Accounts Payable Lead******Onsite in Houston, TX - 77060***
- **Need an experienced proven AP Lead that is hands-on detailed oriented with supervisory experience*** Responsibilities:Provide support to the field administrative team to ensure invoices are properly coded, approved and paid timely.Review and manage the expense reporting process to ensure that expenses are being submitted and approved on a timely basis prior to month-end.Work with the field personnel to improve the timeliness of invoices being recorded the system in the correct period and in advance of required deadlines.Close accounts payable system and prepare certain operational accrual entries as necessary for based on close procedures.Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for accounts payable related accounts.Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, resolving any billing discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.Work with treasury and field locations to manage payments of vendors and support efficient and effective means of payment for vendors.Lead and mentor accounts payable specialists, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.Develop and maintain policies and procedures for accounts payable.Identify opportunities to create efficiencies and streamline the payables to payment process.Prepare and analyse accounts payable reports and metrics to track performance and identify areas of improvements.Assist with year-end activities, including audit preparation and 1099 submission. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent combination of education and experience required.3 to 5 years public company experience with 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience.Demonstrate aptitude for understanding system-based processing and controls.Ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects, prioritizes tasks, and exercise good judgment.Strong analytical skillsMust be able to work independently, prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines.Ability to meet daily deadlines, perform tasks in a timely manner, be a self-starter and resolve issues with minimal supervision.
