Controller
Fort Worth, TX - Hybrid, 3 Days Onsite
One of Vaco's billion-dollar distribution clients is looking to onboard a Controller with oversight over a large team with several direct reports (Managers.) This is a newly created position that will report directly to the CEO and be responsible for all the GL accounting, financial reporting, AR, AR and Payroll.
It's a pretty dynamic environment with lots of overseas work that includes a lot of regulatory variables, shifting business to new countries, and ad hoc projects.
Responsibilities:Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Internal Controls: Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger system, including chart of accounts maintenance, journal entries, and reconciliations.Accounts Payable and Receivable: Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.Audit Coordination: Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and ensure compliance with auditing standards.Tax Compliance: Collaborate with tax advisors to ensure compliance with tax regulations and optimize tax strategies.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a similar fieldCPA requiredPublic accounting experience highly preferredPublic company experience required
