Interim Manager or Sr. Manager of Commissions COMPANY DESCRIPTION: Our client, a SaaS AI-enabled customer service platform, is seeking immediate support for their Commissions team. LOCATION:Downtown San Francisco, on site Tuesdays and Thursdays (BART-accessible) WHY POSITION IS OPEN:Coverage for an upcoming maternity leave - unfortunately, due to a consultant fall-off (junior analyst, performance based), there will likely be limited opportunity for overlap and training. DURATION OF ENGAGEMENT:3-5 months RESPONSIBILITIESSales Compensation Plan Documentation: Collaborate with Sales Operations and Compensation teams to compile comprehensive and accurate sales compensation plan documents for sales representatives. Convert data from google doc to CaptivateIQ to generate plan documents.Ensure all plan documents are in alignment with the company's compensation policies and adhere to established guidelines.Plan Communication and Distribution: Build and automate Document Data in CaptivateIQ and Docusign to ensure data accuracy.Prepare and send out timely communications, including plan summaries, updates, and changes to the entire sales org (aprox 300 per quarter).Plan Compliance and Accuracy: Conduct regular audits and reviews of plan documents to ensure data accuracy and compliance with company policies.Address any discrepancies or errors in the plan documentation promptly and effectively.Sales Team Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for sales representatives regarding questions or clarifications related to their compensation plans.Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and streamline the process of assembling and delivering plan documents, seeking opportunities for efficiency and accuracy improvements.Suggest and implement enhancements to the documentation process to enhance the overall sales experience.Data Management and Analysis: Utilize CaptivateIQ and Docusign reporting to ensure the accuracy and consistency of information presented in the plan documents.Generate reports and insights related to plan distribution and engagement metrics.Commission Calculations: Calculate and validate commission payments for the sales team, ensuring adherence to established compensation guidelines (aprox 50 reps).Resolve commission-related inquiries and discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner. Add/remove users: Add and remove licenses for new hires and terms on a monthly basis.Audits: Perform monthly/quarterly audits to ensure accuracy between Salesforce and CaptivateIQ. QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field8+ years of experience in Commissions and Sales CompensationOverall systems-savvy - Ability to master new systems and applications quickly Salesforce experience is requiredCaptivateIQ experience is requiredFamiliar with SQL queriesProficient with Microsoft ExcelExcellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups, executives, sales managers, and sales representatives SUPERVISE:No, this is an individual contributor role, collaborating with others on the Sales Compensation team.
