Purchasing Coordinator - $70-80k

Job Summary: Manages procurement process of all raw materials for the production of finished goods while maintaining competitive pricing and quality. Ensures all tasks are performed in a safe manner, observing cGMP and quality standards. Responsibilities:

Oversees the material movement from vendors to manufacturing facility in conjunction with shipping/receiving.Determines inventory levels and requirements by analyzing material requirements through the MRP system and production schedule.Establishes and/or manages vendor relations.Interacts with suppliers to schedule delivery times and resolve shipping errors.Updates ERP system with data relating to purchasing such as latest vendor information, pricing, lead times etc.Negotiates pricing and shipping terms with suppliers.Interacts with new product development team for prototype and pilot builds of new products.Attends as required, to support projects, production, planning and vendors.Works in accordance with and enforces all safety regulations and Best the company's SOP's and Work Instructions.

Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven negotiation skills.Thorough understanding of purchasing procedures and policies.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Microsoft Office, Crystal Reports and ERP experience preferred.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.3-5 years of purchasing, inventory, and cost control experience in a manufacturing setting required.Chemical Procurement Experience preferred.
