Senior Accountant
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
The Senior Accountant will analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities for our client.Senior Accountant responsibilities:Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.Summarizes financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.Assists in month-end closing process.Ad-hoc reporting required regularlyProtects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Ideal Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years related experience
- Ability to apply GAAP knowledge, interpret financial statements and craft summaries for internal stakeholders
- Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and "can do" attitude
- CPA or MBA; can be sustituted in lieu of public accounting experience
