Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for various accounting functions, including but not limited to:

Accounts Payable:Overseeing the AP processes including processing invoices, reconciling AP to the GL, vendor management, expense report management, and 1099 management.Financial Reporting:Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.Assist in the preparation of internal management reports and presentations.General Ledger Management:Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.Review and analyze balance sheet accounts to identify discrepancies and propose corrective actions.Budgeting and Forecasting:Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing financial analysis and insights.Collaborate with department heads to develop accurate and achievable financial plans.Monitor budget performance and variance analysis, providing explanations and recommendations as needed.Tax Compliance:Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns and other tax-related documents.Stay updated on tax laws and regulations relevant to the renewable energy industry.Work closely with external tax advisors to ensure compliance and optimize tax strategies.Internal Controls:Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Perform periodic internal audits to assess control effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary support and documentation.Special Projects:Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as assigned by management.Provide financial analysis and support for strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA preferred.Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the renewable energy sector or related industry.Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.Commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting a culture of integrity.
