The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of cost accounting within our manufacturing operations. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, cost analysis, and financial reporting in the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing our cost structures, enhancing financial controls, and supporting decision-making processes.Key Responsibilities:Cost Analysis and Reporting:Conduct in-depth cost analysis to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to manufacturing costs.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and insights.Variance Analysis:Perform variance analysis to understand the differences between actual and budgeted/forecasted costs.Investigate and report on significant variances, providing actionable recommendations.Inventory Management:Oversee the valuation and reconciliation of inventory accounts.Implement and maintain effective inventory control processes.Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to optimize inventory levels.Standard Costing:Develop and maintain standard costing models for products.Update and revise standard costs as needed, considering changes in production processes and material costs.Financial Planning and Budgeting:Work closely with the finance team to contribute to the annual budgeting process.Provide input and analysis to support strategic decision-making.Compliance and Internal Controls:Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.Establish and maintain effective internal controls related to manufacturing costs.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Collaborate with production, supply chain, and finance teams to gather and analyze relevant data.Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment on cost-related goals.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.3+ years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, cost analysis, and financial reporting.Strong proficiency in ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively.
