Position Summary

Vallen's Application Safety & MRO Specialist will be a contributor that supports the sales strategy & cost savings requirements for the Safety & MRO product category. Primarily dedicated to the Core Plus Program, they work with existing, new, and prospective clients to effectively sell the features and benefits of Safety & MRO products/services and cost savings opportunities. They are subject matter experts and are sought out by other sales and/or marketing teams to enhance Vallen's business opportunities and assist in achieving profitable sales objectives within the vertical product category. Position requires the ability to effectively engage and work collaboratively with manufacturing representatives. Vallen product marketing/direct Marketing, Vallen sales management, Vallen operations teams, Vallen field sales, Vallen inside sales to promote respective lines/goods & services that are offered by those organizations. Provide effective & profitable solutions with the intention of promoting and increasing the respective site's goals and objectives.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Grow Safety & MRO Core Plus Supplier sales within existing Vallen customersSupport existing Integrated Supply and Corporate Account customer baseAlign growth with national team at targeted key accounts for VallenTraining of Vallen sales associates in assigned markets on Safety & MRO products/servicesCommunication with Vallen management on customer projects and goals to accelerate growthPartnership with Safety & MRO manufacturers to grow salesDevelop relationships with key stakeholders at Vallen customers to expand Safety & MRO salesPresentation of process improvements in Safety & MRO to Vallen customersIdentification of cost savings opportunities for Vallen customers in Safety & MRO products/servicesParticipate/conduct on-site assessments to evaluate hazards and solutionsImplementation of cost savings and process improvements at Vallen customers

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent; directly applicable experience may be substitutedExcellent project management skillsSuperior verbal & written communication with external & internal customersSales experience in Safety & MRO products and servicesUnderstanding of manufacturing plant floor and key stakeholders preferredValid Driver's License

Work Environment
