Varsity Spirit Marketing Intern

As the Varsity Spirit Marketing Intern, you will work with marketing specialists on various marketing projects. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual who is pursuing a degree in marketing/communications with knowledge about the all star and school cheer, dance and band industries.

A Day in the Life

You will assist with

Email messaging & executionCollaborate with team to identify needsDevelop target listsCopywritingManage the creative process with our design teamSocial media content planning & creationBAND communicationCampaign tracking and reportingCoordinate website updates, including optimizing keywords and SEO

What you bring to the table

Background in cheerleading, dance and/or band; Varsity Spirit instructional staff experience is a plus.Current enrollment in or recent graduation from an undergraduate bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital marketing, journalism, communications or another related field.Familiarity with marketing computer software and social media platforms.Good understanding of the latest marketing trends and techniques.Critical thinking and the ability to identify insights that lead the organization to a better understanding of opportunities and risks.The ability to work cross-functionally and manage/prioritize multiple targets while producing results.Experience with project management programs like Asana and Microsoft applications like Word, Teams, PowerPoint and Excel.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
