Summary/Objective

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented purchasing Intern to join our team. This role will support the Purchasing group by assisting with evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts and preparing reports that are essential for our company’s day-to-day operations.

For this role, you will gain good knowledge of market research, along with solid analytical skills to make sure you’re identifying the most profitable offers.

This internship offers hands-on experience in the Purchasing process, providing exposure to understanding the supply chain procedures, negotiation skills, and much more.

Job Responsibilities

Daily drop ship order maintenance, order transfer to vendorsCommunication with drop ship vendors to help process orders correctly with additional information, as needed (art files, visuals)Review drop ship vendor production status reports/open order reports to ensure on time deliveryCommunication with Sales Representatives to offer support regarding drop ship ordersDrop ship order rush requests, changes, cancellationsAs needed, provide help to other members of the Purchasing/Traffic team

Physical Demands and/or Work Environment

This is a 70% sedentary role and 30% active; It is necessary for this role to walk in all the departments to follow up on completion of assignments and check on all samples. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day.
