Job Title: Patient Care Attendant - Internal Medicine
Location: VCA Aurora Animal Hospital, Aurora, IL
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Patient Care Attendant . This entry-level position is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about animal care, has excellent communication skills, and is eager to learn and grow in a veterinary hospital setting.
Responsibilities
Housekeeping and Husbandry: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in examination rooms, treatment areas, and kennel areas.Stocking the Internal Medicine DepartmentFeeding and Watering: Follow feeding and watering instructions provided by veterinary team.Patient Walking: Take patients on scheduled walks and bathroom breaks.Assist with grooming and bathing of patients as needed.Follow all hospital policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of animals, clients, and staff members.Plus more!
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience working with animals is preferred but not required.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work well in a team and independently.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards animals and their owners.Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.Basic computer skills.Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.Must be able to bend and kneel repeatedlyMust be able to stand for a long of period of time
Schedule: Full-Time with rotating weekends.
